Once just a fenced conventional side lawn area, this space has been transformed to its own magical destination with our Garden Angels vision for the place. Our client’s family connection to a talented artist collaborated with us to design a colorful moving arbor panel system. The custom kinetic structure captures the morning and late afternoon light, with shimmering color pieces that move in the slightest of breeze. They seem to sound out a rhythm if you take the time to listen carefully while drinking a morning cuppa. All the custom carpentry is constructed with robust local, sustainable, reclaimed juniper lumber at true dimensions–a lovely contrast to the delicate glimmering color panels. The shimmering pieces cast colorful shadows dancing all about the garden as they capture a beam; a magical sight for sure!

The shrub border and perennial flower gardens, designed with songbirds and other pollinators front and center, provide sequential color and plenty of nesting materials for year’ round forage and cover. Berries, seeds, and plenty of cover in winter; plenty of pollen and sweet nectar in summer. What more could our winged friends want? The human habitat is further enhanced with the charming respite space carved out of the lush drought-resistant & hardy plantings. Nestled in a busy part of town, the space is cloistered by reaching vines and a robust hedge, and secured with a locking gate leading to a parking area. The stone paving footfalls provide the connective tissue along the ground plane, through the charming little swing gate to the family garden space beyond. This is little favorite space is one to behold, for many a creature!
